Mi querido amigo acaba de publicar su último libro de poemas: El corazón no duerme, libro discursivo, de altísimo “vuelo expresivo” (según García Jambrina), y de honda lírica hecha de retórica sencilla. Antonio es un mago de lo cercano. Es el inventor del espectroscopio: nos enseña a mirar. La poesía de Antonio es la de un arqueólogo de Moguer que se vino a Extremadura no en un Chagall, sino en un dibujo de Alberti con barcos y palomas. Todavía recuerdo que me presentó el año 95 el sobre de postales (titulado Cinco poemas experimentales) en el Corral de las Cigüeñas, en pleno casco antiguo de Cáceres, vestido como quien acaba de descubrir el sarcófago de un faraón, y que hablaba con vehemencia del grupo “fluzus” y de la época de los grandes caracteres. Luego vinieron el Congreso de Plasencia, las antologías, las visitas al estudio de Antonio Gómez, los talleres de poesía visual, las escapadas a México, donde conoció a Omar Pimienta (cuyos versos también publica ahora Littera), la piragua para el lago Proserpina junto al que vive con Mar y la pequeña Ángela. Antonio Orihuela es un poeta clásico: su pelo prematuramente blanco le da un aire de brahmán andaluz, el tono sereno, el gesto alado, su amistad sin fondo, su palabra medida. Y lo más importante, esa poesía de cosas cotidianas, tan profundamente zen, donde el espacio adquiere importancia, donde el orden de la arena, las piedras, el agua, responde a un modo, una conciencia, un estar aquí, con afán de armonía en la no objetividad, y al igual que en Juan Yepes, con un no sé qué que queda balbuciendo.
